May we ask you some questions?
What if you were to die tonight? Do you know for sure whether you would
go to heaven? What if you were standing in front of the gates of heaven
and Jesus asked you , "Why should I let you in to My kingdom?" What
would you say?
God's Purpose
God created you with a purpose for your life in mind. He has a plan for you. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) God's plan for us is to live forever with Him in Heaven.
Our Need
Perhaps you are here because you don't know where else to turn. You've
been searching for the meaning of life. On your search, you've
uncovered man's sinful nature. Sin keeps us from fulfilling God's plan
in our lives. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"
(Romans 3:23). We were born with a sinful nature and therefore cannot
help that we sin. This sin in our lives also separates us from heaven.
But God has provided us with a way to escape eternal life in hell.
God's Provision
God hates sin and must punish it. However, God loves us so much that he
provides forgiveness for our sin. That forgiveness was the death of His
Son, Jesus. God sent Jesus to die on the cross as payment for all of
our sins. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the father, but by me."
(John 14:6) A personal relationship is the only way to heaven. Jesus
wants to have a relationship with you. Do you have that relationship?
Our Response
We
must invite Jesus to be a part of our lives. Because we are sinners we
need to turn away from our sin and ask Jesus to live in our hearts. "If
you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your
heart that God raised Him from the dead, then you will be saved. For
with the heart man believes resulting in righteousness; and with the
mouth he confesses resulting in salvation." (Romans 10:9-10) When
we give our lives over to God, then He begins to complete His plan for
us. This is great news for those without hope. God wants to take care
of us! Is there any reason why you would not want to trust Jesus as you
Lord and Savior right now? If not, are you willing to turn from your
sin and ask Jesus to come into your heart today? If you are ready for
Christ to come into your life, then pray this simple prayer. These are
not "magic words" that will make the earth shatter or lightning strike.
They are simply the keys to the gates of heaven and peace in our life.
Dear Lord Jesus...I believe that you are God's
Son...and you died to forgive me of my sins...I want you to forgive me
of all my sins...I ask you now to come into my life as Savior and
Lord...Thank you for saving me. Amen
