BIBLE STUDY
 Every Sunday morning our small groups of children are filled with God's Word, exciting activities, and games. While adults are experiencing life-changing Bible study, children are experiencing it as well in Bible studies designed for children from 2 years old through 5th grade.
Children's group Bible studies are on Sunday Mornings at 9:30 am. To find your child's classroom, come to the Welcome Center in D Building. Make plans to attend this Sunday morning!
Amite Kids Club is a discipleship club that combines fun and learning to create an atmosphere of irresistible excitement. During club meetings, children have the opportunity to dive into God's Word, learn about missions and play fun games. Several special events are also held throughout the year.
During the school year, clubs meet on Wednesday Evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the Gym (C Building). Since you can come anytime during the year to a club meeting, drop by and check out what all the other kids are talking about.
RECREATION & SPORTS
We have three wonderful sports and recreational ministries for children planned throughout the year.
 BASKETBALL In January we have Upward Basketball. Upward is a fantastic basketball league for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Through the Upward Basketball program your child will learn fundamentals of the game and some great Bible truths.
The T-Ball League is where it all begins! Children between the ages 4, 5 or 6 can play in this league or in grades pre-K, K or 1. Our T-Ball League is first and foremost about FUN. We believe that this should be an absolutely positive experience for the youngsters. This is probably their first introduction to the concept of a team, and they will learn some of the things that can make it so enjoyable to be part of a team.
COACH'S PITCH LEAGUE
We have a fantastic Coach's Pitch co-ed league for 7 & 8 year olds. We had a very successful first year this summer with three full teams, and are planning to expand even more Summer '08.
Registration Forms MUSIC
Children at Amite Baptist Church have a variety of ways to participate in the Music Ministry. Our Children's Choir ministry is led by Mrs. Dana Nolan, and includes children 3 years old to 5th grade. Our children are an integral part of our annual Easter drama, and participate as well with the Adult Choir in various projects. Bits of Praise is our Preschool Choir for children 3 and 4 years old. They meet September through March on Sundays at 4:30 pm down the Preschool hallway in D Building. Combining fun activities with singing, basic music theory, Bible stories, crafts, and snacks, these children are in the process of not only learning music, but learning how to praise our heavenly Father and how to lead in worship of Him. Bits of Praise sings several times a year in our Sunday worship services.
 Kindergarten - 5th Grade
Praise Kids Children's Choir includes children in kindergarten through 5th grade. They are split into age-graded groups September through March on Sundays at 4:30 pm, and meet upstairs in C Building. These children are constantly working on a musical or presentation of some type. Every Christmas they present a musical in one of our Sunday worship services. Their presentations always include drama, choreography, costumes, and of course singing. They also sing several times a year in our Sunday worship services.
Summer Music Camp
Summer Music Camp is a five day camp full of fun and music! Every July over 100 children, K4 through 5th grade, gather to learn (from memory!) a full-scale musical presentation, complete with drama and choreography. This Monday through Friday camp culminates on the following Sunday night as they present their musical to their parents, friends, and our entire church. For a small fee, children receive a CD, a t-shirt, snacks, pizza, recreation with inflatables, and more.
SEASONAL MINISTRIES
Throughout the year, Amite Baptist Church has lots in store for our children. Whether it's a Fall Festival, Summer Camp, or Adventure Week, you can bet that children will encounter the love of God and have a ton of fun at the same time!
Adventure Week: For one week in June, children will hear awesome Bible stories, make crafts, and play zany games, all surrounding and exciting theme and Biblical principle.
 Amite Baptist Fall Festival: At the end of October, we host our annual Fall Fest. This is a great alternative to trick or treating. Come along and have a hot dog, get your face painted and hop aboard our hay ride for an October evening of fun and excitement!
Centri-Kid Camp: Each summer, children who have completed 3rd through 5th grade join us on a trip to camp. Centri-Kid is far from your typical summer camp! Campers will have an exciting week that they will remember forever, and a camp experience that will grab their attention and capture their hearts through high-energy worship, interactive, kid-friendly Bible study, and lots of fun!

 M.O.P.S
Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday during the school year we host a get-together for Mother's of Preschools (M.O.P.S.). Each meetin gis filled with parenting tips, creative ideas, and support from Moms just like you. We would love to have you jon us in celebrating our circle of Motherhood.
