The Mission Team at Amite Baptist Church is excited to announce our summer mission trip for 2008! We will be working with Hidden Springs Bible Church and possibly Grey Mountain Bible Church in Arizona. Both of these churches are on the Navajo reservation. Summary:
The primary need of this mission site is construction, painting and repair. If we have enough participation, we have the option to provide a ministry team for a nearby site to do activities with youth and children. We will be ministering to and with Navajo Native Americans in Arizona. This trip is open to all ages, but children younger than high school age must be accompanied by an adult. |
Travel:
We will be traveling by church van to and from the site. If you wish to fly, that is an option, but must be handled at your own expense. The trip will require 2 days of drive time each way. If you choose to fly, we will arrange one pick up time in Phoenix, which is approximately 3 hours from the mission site. Please let me know if you are flying so we can work together to coordinate one pickup time. |

Cost: $250/person
This cost is for someone traveling in the vans and includes hotel there and back, gas and food while on site. The hotel price is based on an occupancy of 4 people per room. If you want a private room, the room rate is $75/night. If you plan to fly, the cost of the trip is reduced to $150.00. This price will cover your food and transportation on site. I have found tickets on Hotwire.com in the $300.00 range for round-trip tickets.
Food during travel and on the day off (Friday) is at your expense.

Travel to Wichita Falls - Stay at Fairfield Inn.
Sunday, August 3 - Arrive at Amite Baptist Church approximately 7pm
